First off, I hope you and your family are doing well. COVID-19 has touched so many families - both through those directly affected by the disease as well as the caregivers and others affected by the collateral damage to our communities. The impact on estate sales has been unfortunate, but we are lucky that our family and friends have stayed healthy. There are many health care providers and other essential workers that visit our sales, and please know we are grateful for all that you are doing during this pandemic.
While some aspects of life in Minnesota look like they may be slowly getting back to a more normal way of things, I do not see how we can safely conduct traditional estate sales in the current environment. While we could be more limiting on the number of people allowed inside a home and require face masks to minimize the chance of spreading, the number of people that congregate at our sales waiting to enter as well as the high traffic through the homes suggest that conducting a traditional estate sale would create a problematic situation. And the last thing we want is to contribute to the spread of this coronavirus and impact the well being of our customers. While we look forward to once again seeing our frequent customers and providing you some entertainment through estate sales, I feel that safety takes precedence at the moment.
However, a number of families still need help as they transition from their current situations. As an alternative to the traditional estate sale, I am conducting online estate sales where you can view pictures and descriptions of items for sale (via estatesales.net) and contact me to arrange purchase and pick up. I am still getting the hang of this new system, so please be patient with me. But this new version of our estate sales seems to be working.
I currently am conducting three of these online sales (pictures on the website here and links to further information and prices at estatesales.net) and will be adding two more sales soon. I hope you will find some enjoyment looking through these items, and you might even find something fun for yourself or a friend.
Please stay safe. We dearly appreciate your support of our estate sales, and we wish you and your families all the best during this crazy time.
